Job Title: Cabinet Shop Carpenter

 Job Overview

The Cabinet Shop Carpenter is accountable for the build, install and repair of structures including, but not limited to, cabinets, counters, furniture and related fixtures. They are responsible for upholding high quality standards and ensuring safe shop and site working conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs basic layouts based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
  • Constructs and installs cabinets, counters, furniture and related fixtures.
  • Cuts and shapes building materials using hand and power tools.
  • Uses various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects.
  • Joins materials with the most appropriate nail, screw, staple, or adhesive.
  • Ensures the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; corrects problems as needed.
  • Creates wooden forms for pouring concrete.
  • Installs windows and doors.
  • Able to clearly explain steps, provide directions, and answer questions about the construction processes to employees and subcontractors.
  • Adheres to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Ability to understand directions and read blueprints.
  • Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
  • Ability to assess the quality of materials.
  • Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Successful completion of vocational school or technical college or apprenticeship program.
  • 3 years of related job experience.

Physical Demands:

Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs continuously over an 8-hour shift.

Job Title: Traveling Painter

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Traveling Painter to join our team. This role involves traveling to various commercial job sites—across different regions to perform high-quality painting services. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of surface preparation and finishing techniques, and the flexibility to work away from home for extended periods. You must be comfortable working independently or as part of a team in varying environments and weather conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travel to various job sites according to the project schedule
  • Prepare surfaces (sanding, patching, and priming) for painting.
  • Apply paint to walls, ceilings, furniture, and other surfaces
  • Ensure proper cleanup and care of tools and work areas
  • Maintain high safety standards and follow all site-specific protocols
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a professional painter
  • High school diploma
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of painting materials, techniques, and safety procedures
  • Dependable and strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA certification or other safety training
  • Bilingual a plus

Job Title: Project Manager (Ohio)

Job Overview

The Project Manager is accountable for preparing estimates, constructing detailed project plans, monitoring progress, and ensuring that the project is on time, within budget and within scope.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicates with clients and delivers project progress reports
  • Collaborates with architects, engineers, electricians, and other specialists
  • Builds comprehensive estimates and proposals
  • Uses scheduling software to update schedules, track progress, and document project progression.
  • Obtains all necessary regulations and permits
  • Plans and manage people resources
  • Plans and manage materials
  • Writes subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Upholds high standard for safety
  • Delivers project on time, within budget and within scope
  • Drives culture of ownership and accountability

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2+ years project management experience
  • 2+ years supervisory experience
  • Experience building project schedules and Gantt charts
  • Excellent organization, oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or related field of study
  • 5+ years commercial construction experience

Job Title: Superintendent

Job Overview

The Construction Superintendent executes construction projects by organizing, planning, and overseeing project tasks. They complete quality inspections and supervise all project members, including staff, and subcontractors.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Upholds high standard for safety.
  • Executes weekly site inspections.
  • Ensures all onsite personnel comply with project procedures and are aware of safety program requirements.
  • Attends reoccurring industry safety council meetings.
  • Prepares the construction schedule in partnership with the Wesney Account Manager.
  • Schedules subcontractors.
  • Acquires and secures rental equipment.
  • Maintains and updates the project schedule daily. Documents progress and flags areas of concern.
  • Determine staffing needs for company provided labor.
  • Responsible for time on job hours.
  • Trains and mentors field labor personnel.
  • Conducts weekly foreman meetings with subcontractors.
  • Immediately communicates discrepancies in plans and/or scope of work.
  • Maintains current set of work drawings.
  • Responsible for productivity of subcontractors.
  • Responsible for project close out activities including final walk-through, punch list and submitting all project files to account manager.
  • Leverages carpentry skills to support project tasks.
  • Delivers projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Manages daily execution of the project schedule.
  • Delivers results in line with Wesney quality standards.
  • Maintains building and working areas in an organized and orderly fashion, removing debris daily.
